Start your day with us on a fascinating journey to the heart of La Rioja, Spain’s most famous wine region, where you’ll be amazed by the breath-taking views of a sea of vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see. Along the way, we invite you to discover picturesque villages and the rich winemaking history of the area, with numerous wineries joining us on this unique tour.
Our first stop will be a traditional winery, a place full of charm and character, where you’ll immerse yourself in the winemaking process. And of course, you’ll enjoy an exquisite tasting of their best wines, directly from the lands that make these wines a true treasure.
We will continue our journey with a visit to Laguardia, a true medieval gem. This charming walled village in Rioja Alavesa, whose roots date back centuries, preserves one of the most impressive architectural ensembles in the entire La Rioja region. More than 300 traditional wineries, carved beneath the streets of the village, offer us a unique experience. As you walk through its narrow streets, you’ll be transported back to medieval times, surrounded by ancient buildings, coats of arms, and doorways that tell stories from the past. With our expert guide, you’ll explore the most iconic corners of Laguardia and, of course, enter one of these underground wineries to learn about the winemaking process up close, while savouring the most authentic flavours of the region. At the end of the visit, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch in this charming village before returning. (Lunch not included)
